Trapazoid Question

Question Details:
A survey plot with two parallel sides that measure 115.80 ft. and 171.00 ft . The height of the trapazoid is 165.97 ft. Find the combined area of the two lots. Round to the nearest hundredth of a square ft.

What do you mean by 2 lots? from the sounds of it there is only one lot with those dimensions.  So we apply the trapezoid formula.

If there are 2 lots that are identical multiple by 2.

A = h(b1 + b2)/2

A = 165.97 x (115.80 + 171.00) / 2

= 23800.1 ft2
