The base of a rectangle lies on the x axis while its upper two vertices are on the parabola y=10-x2. Suppose the upper right vertex is (x, y). Write the area of the rectangle as a function of x.

The graph looks like this (except the corners of the rectangle should be on the parabola):

The area is a=2x*y
take the formula and plug in place of y in the area formula.
That should do it.
