Response Details:

mass of KCl ,m1= 38.00 g
mass of water, m2= 225 g

total mass, m= m1+m2= 38+225=263 g
mass fraction of KCl in the solution= (m1/m)*100=(38/263)*100=14.45%

Response Details:
Mass percent is the mass of a substance in a mixture as a percentage of the mass of the entire mixture. So,  you'll have   X 100 =  X 100 =  14.4%
