Response Details:
a) H has "partial" positive, Cl has "partial" negative becase Cl is more electronegative
b) I has "partial" positive, Cl has "partial" negative because Cl is more electronegative
c) not exactly sure about this one (TIP go read up on the concept of electronegativity, and use a Pauling electronegativity chart). My guess is H is "partial" positive while I is "partial" negative.
d) the H2 is "partial" positive while O is "partial" negative.
e) the HOCl molecule is following a trigonal planar geometry; H is "partial" positive, O is "partial" negative while Cl is more "partial" negative.
