   a) Calcium metal is added to hyrdrochloric acid.
   b) Hydrogen peroxide solution is added to an acidified potassium iodide solution.
   c) Liquid bromine is added to solution of potassium iodine

  a) Ca(s) + 2H+(aq)   ----------> Ca2+(aq)  + H2(g)
  b) H2O2(aq) + 2I-(aq) + 2H+----------> I2(aq) + 2H2O(l)

Response Details:
a) Ca (s)+ 2HCl (aq) --> CaCl2 (s)+ H2 (g)

Thus , calcium chloride is formed and hydrogen gas liberated

b) H2O2 (l) + KI (aq)+ 2H+ (aq)--> 2H2O (l)+ 2K+ (aq)+ I2 (g)

Thus , Iodine gas is liberated

c) 2KI (aq)+ Br2 (l)--> 2KBr(aq) + I2 (g)

Again , Iodine gas is liberated
