The parameters of the circuit shown are: R1 = 26 Ohms, R2 = 22 Ohms, R3 = 22 Ohms, I = 6 A, V = 19 Volts, a = 0.5 and b = 18. Use the mesh-current method to find current ia.

my first attempt was this situation..but i made a mistake and the correct answer being 2.359.
 
im confused how they got that answer that way i can solve the problem i actually posted on to be solved on this website. can someone help thanks/
The parameters of the circuit shown are: R1 = 27 Ohms, R2 = 22 Ohms, R3 = 31 Ohms, I = 9 A, V = 14 Volts, a = 0.9 and b = 11. Use the mesh-current method to find current ia.
