8. what potential difference appears across the galvanometer in; Two 150V voltmeters are being compared; meter A has 5000 ?/V while meter B has a total meter resistance of 750000 ?, when the pointer is fully defected? The meter resistance is 10 ?.

Given
V = 150V
Rm = 10Ω
 
Meter A
Sensitivity S = 5000Ω/V
S = 1/Ifs = 50000
Ifs = 1/5000 = 0.2mA
The potemtial difference across the galvanometer will be
Vm = Ifs Rm = (0.0002)(10)
Vm = 2mV
 
Meter B
The total resistance (Rm + Rs) = 750000Ω
V = Ifs (Rm+Rs)
Ifs = 150 / 750000 = 0.2mA
The potemtial difference across the galvanometer will be
Vm = Ifs Rm = (0.0002)(10)
Vm = 2mV
