In regards to the two triangles

Course Textbook Chapter Problem
Classical Mechanics Vector Mechanics for Engineers: Statics and Dynamics (8th) by Beer, Johnston, Eisenberg 5 61P
Question Details:
I do not understand how the first area he has is a triangle. When I look at in in the book, I drew a right triangle and at rectangle at the base. How is it two triangles?
